My daughter goes to outdoor preschool and they have been very helpful on those cold days when she could be outside but still wanted to work on things like writing, painting and others. Fine motor skills without freezing hands. They're quite thick and double woven to keep the wind out, but they were hastily machine knitted so I had to cut off a finger when we first got them. If I wasn't a knitter and seamstress I would return them just for that.
