For some reason we are losing forks. I stopped buying complete flatware sets because I had a lot of butter knives. I think it's better to just buy universal plugs in bulk. These plugs are durable and will match most furnishings. They have a shiny silver finish and are heavy enough not to feel cheap. So far they have withstood several cycles in the dishwasher without any visible dents or scratches. For the price (about 0.50 each) I am very happy with the quality and performance of these forks and will purchase matching spoons when our spoon stock runs low. At least all of our silver items go together, even if the quantity varies.
