I bought this as I had two extra JoyCon sets for my family and needed to charge them from the console. It was a flexible alternative to the Nintendo-supported charging station, as you can also charge a professional controller. I don't have a professional controller, but figured it wouldn't hurt to have one if I buy one in the future. The docking station comes with a USB-C cable but no power outlet. So you can plug it into your Switch console, but not the wall if you don't have a plug. Technically you can also just grab a Nintendo Wall Charger and plug it straight into the base and it works too, which is what I did to test and it charges very well. Charging and I had no problems with it. I noticed that a lot of the reviews here said the light was too bright, but it didn't bother me at all, even at night. It has an on/off switch at the base that you can toggle after they're done, making the stand a place to store them without charging the batteries. I really liked this addition, it actually meant I didn't have to unplug the cord myself to use it for storage. The dock itself feels a little flimsy like the plastic is thinner and not as strong, but I had no trouble breaking anything. It just "doesn't feel that strong" so I kept the original box with the plastic insert in case I wanted to transport it as I have to carry the console and JoyCons between my partner and my house quite often. a pretty solid deal for the money, it's cheaper with more options than the nintendo sponsored version and I've had no problems with it at all. Delivered quickly, no problems here either. Would definitely recommend, the higher ratings on this product so far seem accurate.
