Review on Shaper Include Pieces Ponytail Elastic by Margarita Grossarth

My 3 year old is about to start dance class and as a requirement her hair needs to be tied in a bun so I had to find a product that made it easier for me to style. Amazon had a wide selection. After reviewing many products, I decided to go with it for several reasons. 1) My daughter has short and thin hair so I needed something small enough to fit her hair and this set offered a smaller donut (the smallest I could find). 2) This set seemed to offer more variety at a lower price point than others, and 3) it was the only set I could find that didn't have brown or black elastics with a set meant for use with blonde hair . I know the ties in this set are white, but they are much closer to her hair color than the darker ties in the other sets. I got it today and haven't used it yet so can't say much about ease of use and durability. I really wish there was a guide included so I know what/how to use the included tools. Came in semi-vacuum packaging so packaging is not flattened. However, it was vacuum packed in such a way that the donuts were almost flat and more like a cleaning sponge. You can't really see the center you're threading your hair through (because it's tangled). I've tried playing with them, opening up the mids a bit and pushing the sides apart to make them fuller so they look the way they should. Also, there was only one rubber band in my kit. Normally I wouldn't mind but it saddens me that the two main reasons I decided to order this particular item were the elastic bands and the three sizes of donut and those were the two things that came in this set were wrong/defective. I'm pretty realistic in my expectations and know that for a lower price I'm getting a lower quality product, so I didn't have high expectations to start with. However, this was not even close to the minimum expectations. I agree with poor quality items, but I still expect these items to be used if I get what I pay for. I'm a bit frustrated and wish I had gone with one of the other options I considered because now I still have to reorder and could save time and money. I've attached the second image after trying to shape the donuts. I was able to change the two larger sizes quite well, but I couldn't make much improvement with the smallest. Hopefully when I start using it it will work as it should and take its natural form as I use it (fingers crossed anyway). Ouch! and something I noticed in the second shot that I didn't notice in the first is that the comb looks like it's bent and tangled. It has a large bend and is deformed like the teeth. That's not much either, as these combs are actually only $50 to $3. Normally I don't mind small discrepancies and minor issues, but with this particular product, any 'minor' imperfections affect the main components of the kit and render it unusable. Overall I am dissatisfied with this order and it seems to me that the product description and photos do not match the actual product received. I would recommend forgoing this product and ordering something similar elsewhere.
