I bought these for my first attempt at making a weighted blanket. I chose this one because the gauge specifically states the melting temperature of the pellets. I wanted to make sure the comforter was machine washable and tumble dry friendly. I also liked that the ads explicitly state how much weight is in a cup. This greatly simplified the computation of the math. No need to guess how much to put in each bag. I used the standard recommendation of 10% of a person's weight, so a 10 pound bag was the perfect size. It was in a double bag so I didn't have to worry that the heavy bag was torn up and spilled everywhere. I would definitely buy it again if I had to make another blanket.
