I've been using this Brydge keyboard for iPad Pro 12.9 for a few weeks now. I love it. It turns your iPad into a laptop, but you can easily remove the iPad when you don't need the keyboard. As you can see from my photos, I wouldn't recommend it for front-to-back pivoting on the top of the keyboard because the hinges then block the iPad's screen. However, it's so easy to just remove the iPad that I don't need that feature and I'd rather have strong hinges. I've had Zagg keyboards in the past and loops have always failed over time. That was at least many years ago and I don't think these are the strongest models of theirs so this isn't a Zagg comment, but I was drawn to the large, solid hinges on this model. I can't rate the durability of the Brydge hinges yet, but I'll go ahead and give them top marks for battery life based on their 1 year battery life claim. Assuming that's the case, that's a significant improvement in the industry over the 3 months most companies typically claim. I also had a cheap Fintie keyboard a few years ago and the technology keeps getting better. but this keyboard lagged far behind. To me, backlog is a violation of the terms of the contract. I don't notice any lag at all with this Brydge keyboard. phew Typing is great, but I don't think I'm not picky about this aspect of the keyboard. It's a bit noisy for me after my Apple keyboard with iPad Pro fabric quiet, but that's not a deal breaker and actually I think it's normal due to the springiness of the keys? But that brings me to why I gave up on Apple. iPad Pro keyboard. I really liked this keyboard, but after almost a year it had intermittent problems connecting to the iPad. Apparently a lot of people are having this problem with it, I've done everything I could find on the web to fix it, including shutting down the iPad with the keyboard off, various settings, etc. And yes, I'll probably call Apple to take care of it and see what they can do and trade it in with Apple and maybe get a few more months or a year off next. Maybe it just needs a new IOS update. But as the year progressed I really started to miss the backlighting that I had with the old Zagg keyboards. This Brydge backlit keyboard isn't as light as an apple, but it's light enough. I liked a lot about the Apple keyboard, including the dark finish, the feel of the fabric on the keys, and the fact that it's all one surface. But I appreciate this Brydge keyboard with backlit keys as well as adjustable viewing angles, just like a laptop. Non-magnetic pencils can be adapted to this keyboard, the answer if your case is similar to mine is yes! You can see that in some of the photos I've uploaded I've used scissors and a razor blade to just cut where the loops go and I've used a nail file to smooth out some of the sharp edges, so they don't get caught on the jumpers. I did a very rough job to say the least and I wish I had a proper Dremel tool that would easily do a professional job, but I don't really remember it anymore and it works great. In fact when I put my iPad/keyboard against the wall there is nice padding so I've added a photo.
