Cleans tear proteins well but rusts and the battery stops charging after a year

Ultrasonic contact lens cleaner cleans tear proteins very well. I use it to clean soft lenses and scleral lenses. A 2 minute daily clean works well, and a 5 minute weekly clean also warms up the solution (for some reason). Maybe it cleans better when the solution is warmed up. The lens hole is quite small and shallow so you don't need too much contact lens solution when cleaning. Be careful when using it for hard lenses like scleral lenses. Be careful as this can scratch the hard lens. So I usually put a soft lens underneath to make the hard lens softer so that it doesn't rub against the metal case that can scratch the hard lens with vibration. Scratching a scleral lens is expensive. I thought the lens was sealed with a plastic case but they are not waterproof. Eventually, some solutions seeped into the hull and began rusting the steel hull. You can see a spot of rust on the edge of the lens and the plastic case. There is also a small crack in the plastic case where you can see the rust coming through the crack line. After all, I think the brine leak ate the wiring or electronics. The battery eventually stopped charging and the device died after about a year of use. I was disappointed that he died doing a good job of removing the tear deposits for my soft lens. But it doesn't remove tear deposits on a hard lens as well as it does on a soft lens. I had to wipe the hard lens to remove tear deposits, but it didn't work even when I tried wiping and rinsing it or doing an ultrasound multiple times. The only way to remove tear deposits is to use Clear Care Oxy-Clean solution to remove tear proteins from the lens. So improvements are possible to make it better if they use stainless steel or surgical steel that will not rust. or use the plastic entirely for the lens is good. The case must also be fully sealed to prevent the saline solution from getting into the wiring or electronics during extended life. It cleans soft lenses well, but not so well on hard lenses. I wish there was something better to do a better job.
