Didn't work - scratching posts

We bought these because one of our cats ruined the carpet despite all possible measures. We thought putting them on him at night would reduce the damage. It was fun to watch as he tried to walk in it (obviously confused and confused). But he took those things off in minutes. It just doesn't come naturally to them. waste of money for us. :(
