My kids are not the cleanest of eaters, they love to play outside and one of them is potty trained so this stain remover is often used around our house. I have used this on various types of stains (dirt, grass, cooking grease, skin oils, deodorant and all types of food and drink, urine and stool etc) and removed all of them with great success. Only a few times have I had to take a step back and wash the item twice (luckily caught before putting it in the dryer) but I think that was because I didn't leave the product on long enough before the first wash. If in doubt, it doesn't hurt to treat the stain and let it sit for a few hours if possible so that the enzymes can work before washing. I have a toothbrush that I keep next to a bottle in the laundry room. The remover is a thin, gel-like substance, so the toothbrush really helps distribute and apply the product to the stained area. My best success story of using it was when my kid had strawberry juice on the front of his orange and white striped shirt. I treated the stains that evening, forgot about the shirt until I washed the next day, and the stains were completely gone before I even put the shirt in the washing machine. It wasn't red anywhere, like the enzymes had just eaten up all the juice. ! I plan to take a small bottle of this product with me when I travel because I don't want to risk washing my dirty clothes without it.
