My grandchildren love these. Most of them are bright, flashy colors. I could go downtown and throw them at Mardis Gras. By the way, with a large button, you can make a toy out of strong thread or rope. Make a foot-length loop through two holes. Stretch the loop between your two hands, put your thumbs in the loop and start turning the knob so that the rope is coiled with the loop. You can then pull the loop to turn the knob. The twist knob rewinds the loop so you can pull it over and over again. You can make the button work pretty quickly. If you drilled tiny holes in the rim of cemented tubes, it could sound like a siren. I plan to try this with the small needle caps that cover the needle on my insulin pens. Oh yes: buttons, even light ones, can be used on clothing. There are probably other crafts out there, plus noses and eyes for stuffed animals, or more politically correct "soft sculptures". it might sound like a siren.
