Delphi TS10072 REPLACEMENT AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR

This part was just replaced on 05/09/2014. The service engine light blinked intermittently with the scan tool until this new sensor arrived. Now, on my Buick Park Ave. In 2001 (3.8 engine) I had an increase in coolant temperature although a lot of work was done to control this. coolant temperatures. were not stable and went from 185 degrees to 210 degrees until the cooling fans kicked in to bring the temp back to 185. The engine runs much harder as it had a slight overshoot prior to this adjustment. Previous work included: new upper and lower intake gaskets (just beginning to leak due to one cylinder having a damaged intake manifold lower gasket), water pump, Dorman steel cooling system manifold. Engine temp never went to overheat level but something was wrong. I don't know if this sensor has anything to do with the unstable coolant temperature, but for now it matters and the power light is off. Cheap price for better performance and MPG.
