I have been wearing these Caiman boots for several years now and my skin has always felt very rough and dry. Every time I put them on I was afraid that I would scratch them and push off the scales. I clean and condition my leather boots regularly, but since this is my first pair of exotics I really didn't know what to do. I wanted to go to the shoe store and ask them, but after a few years the "point" is to do it and keep forgetting it. , the main thing I wanted was to moisturize the skin so it doesn't get as wrinkled. This product did just that, 100%. I was kinda expecting it to make the skin *pop* and really shine, but in my case it didn't. I've attached before and after photos and you have to say there isn't much of a difference. But that can also be good. Like, it didn't completely change her color or anything. I would not be happy about that, the product is really liquid and spreads like water. Very easy to use. Just spray and wipe off. I will say this, during application the product absorbed into the skin at the junction of the scale rows and really darkened those lines. I was really scared I had just ruined the look of my boots but I figured they should at least match so I made another boot as well. I let them dry for a few minutes and everything was absorbed. Don't even tell. This leads me to believe that this is actually a water based product and not an oil based one. The oil would be absorbed and the discoloration would remain. Can't comment on the water resistance of these products yet as I haven't worn them in the rain since applying them. However, I can say that the skin is now much more hydrated and healthier, which was my main goal.
