I have a couple of iPads at home. I have the old one in my wood shop that only plays music and my main unit (iPad Air 3rd gen) that I use for everything from gaming to GarageBand. I now have THREE of these ChargerCity adjustable iPad clamps/stands and I LOVE THEM. The first in my woodworking workshop. I installed it on an exposed 2x4 stud over a desktop. This iPad is only supposed to play music in the store, so it often gets hit (accidentally) when I'm clumsy. Clamp/stand STRONG. It's awesome. The second is for playing and recording guitar/bass. I took a drum stand style cymbal stand and attached a ChargerCity clamp/stand to the cymbal stand. Now I can pull on my guitar or bass, have full control of GarageBand on my iPad while standing, and use the Fender and Vox apps to control amp settings via BlueTooth. I got this stupid plate holder + iPad holder. for recording sessions, gigs and just jamming in my home studio. The ChargerCity Clamp/Stand is field-tested and reliable. I can ALWAYS find the setting for the perfect iPad tilt in any orientation, whether I'm sitting on a stool, standing with my instrument tethered, or placing it near the stage. Bonus? It has a lot of levers, knobs and levers, so you can attach everything to the stand, like move it easily. Musicians: If you use your iPad or tablet for music, this is what you need.
