Quick Overview: The light is bright, portable and controlled by 1 controller (you get 4). Cons: Although you can adjust many colors, they don't really look "natural" (e.g. soft white light, "cafe style" ). Overall, they still do the job, look good, and are reasonably priced. Long review: For the price, these lights are pretty good. You get 4 lights and 4 controllers for each light, although 1 controller can control all lights. All you have to do is point the controller directly at the light you want to control and it will do what you want. The advantages are that the light sources are versatile and bright. I have a small water feature surrounded by greenery in my yard so I used 2 lights for the water feature and 2 for the surrounding greenery and it looks really nice. The rainbow strobe feature is nice, at least to my parents, but as a professional designer, I find it a bit cheesy. The colors look very artificial, which is to be expected for a product made in China. BUT the colors are vibrant and the light works even when repeatedly submerged in water. I would recommend getting a set of AAA batteries as they don't come with the lights and you need 3 for each light (there are 4 lights included). But what's nice is that you get 4 controllers (with pre-installed batteries for each controller) for each light, but the cool thing is that you only need 1 controller to control each light. All you have to do is point the controller directly at each light source. You can also choose from a variety of lighting options. Everything works, from sequential to stroboscopic or flashing or smooth transition. The brightness function doesn't work on my backpack BUT it's already bright enough that I don't really blame it. Disadvantages: As already mentioned, the colors look very artificial. If you were hoping for a soft, orange colored light like what you envision in a French Provencal cafe, that's not possible with these lights. Even if you select the preset soft orange color, the light doesn't have the same soft glow. What a shame as this is what I was hoping to get PLUS all the other colors of the rainbow. Another small negative is that no batteries are included. So if you do the math if you need 3 batteries for each of the 4 lights on you will need 12 AAA batteries. And the last negative, at least for me, is that this is not an American product. I have no problem with it being made in China, but as someone who is happy to support American manufacturing while I can, it is typically Chinese plastic quality. BUT it also serves its purpose here. so in the end, that's all that counts. Overall, these lamps serve their purpose and are reliable. They work, bright and reliable. They may not have the depth of color that makes them "Instagram" BUT they definitely enhance any environment and I am happy with my purchase.
