Beware of this item There are many false reports about how great it is and how easy it is to assemble. I rarely leave a bad review but this experience was too bad to leave. First, let me say that I'm no novice when it comes to building items. I assembled a treadmill, an exercise bike, a gaming chair, an Overstock iron bed, and a kitchen table, all stronger and much more complex than this little bookshelf. This thing is so flimsy the backs fell apart before I even tightened the metal supports! The shelves fell, then the metal supports (I use the term loosely) became unstable. To top it all off, the cheap plastic inserts meant to hold the screws popped out. A return would be too cumbersome, so I deposited the offending POS in my external warehouse. Customer service is non-existent so don't waste your time, money or sanity on it.
