I still have a set of much smaller Costco rock speakers from 14 years ago. The little worn ones still work but one of them is noisy so I bought them from Revain. For the money they sound great! I have one on each side of the pool in the same locations as the smaller couple who are 14 years old. I made sure to buy a speaker with a high power rating so I can play music loud without worrying about damaging the speakers. All my home speakers are around 125w and my receiver is 525w. I had 5 speakers playing inside and these 2 new rock speakers playing outside. I bought them on September 7th, 2019 and they died at the end of November. I don't think they have been used more than 5-10 times. Had a party with my son and these two cut out after 5 minutes at a higher volume than usual. I realized that Zone 2 had failed on my receiver or someone had touched the remote. I couldn't figure out why zone 2 wasn't working. Now that it's summer, the Geek Squad checked my Zone 2 receiver. They said the speakers or the wiring were bad. I thought speakers couldn't be bad. I wired them up myself and sure enough they're both dead. I've never had a speaker die in 40 years. Both speakers are dead. I don't believe the published rating on them. Save your money!
