Subtle leather sandals from Merrell? Too many to hope for

I've had my Merrell henna sandals so long they have holes in the soles - they/were the most perfect, comfortable Greek Goddess leather hot weather sandals I've ever had have ever owned in my life. From the moment I put them on I was comfortable and I've walked hundreds of miles in them, over hills and valleys, city streets and dirty old alleys. Every year Merrell releases leather sandals, but there are usually some design flaws. Buckles right on the ankle, too tight or a synthetic-lined insole ruin the party - I had high hopes for the little ones! Excellent color - olive green. Belt of the Greek goddess - is. Too tight over the toes - check! Sob! Part of my foot dangled slightly at the edge of the wonderfully comfortable leather insole. And my little finger was bruised. I know from experience that wearing it in the heat is a recipe for pain. The entire insole is actually quite oddly shaped, blocky and straight up and down, very different from any human foot. Therefore I am returning them with regret. Maybe Merrell will get it right next year. I'm still crying
