I'm considering returning it but haven't decided yet. I assembled the device and had to fix it the same day. The seating platform is supported by four nylon straps, which are certainly strong enough. The assembly takes a little time, but is not overwhelming if you want to talk in pictures. I didn't have batteries to practice music, but my kid was very excited, so I connected my LO to the device. I took out my seam ripper and unbuttoned the fabric around the feather. The building idea was sound. Both ends are attached to the belt. If the spring breaks, or in this case detaches from the band by pulling on a weak seam in the band, the band will be held securely for its entire length. I am convinced that spontaneous suspension failure will not cause my child to fall. However, the stitching on the belt that attaches to the spring that makes it springy is torn. I took out the needle and thread. I opened the fabric cover that keeps the kids' fingers away from the feathers. I folded the strap over the loop on the spring; sewed the tape back on. Then I sewed the cover back on. I'm sure he's stronger now than he was. So. I'm not happy that I had to fix something the same day I received it. So it's a failure and a normal and immediate return. My hesitation is that I now know he's 25% stronger than when he arrived. I love my kid in things that are 25% stronger. So I would recommend you to buy it, maybe without considering the quality issues I found. If the description of my repair makes sense to you in the sense that I could do it, then maybe it's not so bad. The kid loves this thing and I think we will benefit from it.
