Achilles heel: Can't be on a switched circuit

UPDATE: Did I check too soon? After posting the first review, I turned off the light (from the wall switch source) and went to bed. To my surprise, they returned to their last state (color) in the morning, which is what I expected from the start. Maybe they needed another reboot for some reason, or was it a random bug? In any case, they reverted to the correct last state three times after being off for a long period of time, so the following review is likely fake. First review: while these lamps work as advertised (although the application is quite cumbersome) there is a serious design flaw in that they cannot (practically) be used in a switched circuit. return to this after cycling the power (e.g., from a wall switch). So let's say you have a nice scene with a bunch of grouped lightbulbs set to color. If you turn off the switch (source) and the bulbs lose power (thus turning off your wifi) a few minutes later, when you turn them back on, you're staring at blinking white lights for more than 2 minutes and they restart. and reconnect to WiFi. I'm no smart lightbulb guru, but it seems that any rational design of smart lightbulbs will result in them persisting and reverting to their last state WHILE booting them up and bringing them back online to regain control. They do NOT work that way. They're only useful if you don't plan on turning them off/on on the track and want to use the app or voice control every time you want to turn them on/off.
