It's quite elegant. This allows me to free the brush of paint and reuse the same brush while applying makeup. If it's a light color, like the green of Urban Decay's new Electric, the brush will hold the green as you twist the Vera Mona sponge, but won't transfer the green to your skin or your next eyeshadow. I have no idea how to disinfect between clients so one lucky person used this on themselves. I think a serious soak in 99% alcohol after rinsing will work. This is a cool product but the price is a bit ridiculous. It's a tough mesh sponge, similar to the hair accessories people use to create buns. For that reason alone I won't be buying it again. I can brush with a dry washcloth, my own hair tool, or my hand. But it's cool.
