I researched many digital cameras and read many reviews before deciding to buy this one. I actually bought 2 of these as Christmas gifts. Considering these weren't very expensive cameras, I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary. On arrival I checked both to make sure they were working well before Christmas. The batteries actually charged faster than I expected (about 2 hours). The cameras don't come with a memory card that I knew I bought with the camera. I played around with the features a bit and took some photos. The autofocus worked well and the photos came out pretty sharp. The zoom worked well indoors. I don't know how that would work unless you're zooming in on something far away. My test shots were taken indoors. There is a slight delay between pressing the button and actually taking the picture, and another short delay before the picture appears on the playback screen. If you need a camera with a very fast response time, this camera is not for you. However, as a Christmas present for two teenagers, this camera should more than suffice. Especially since I bought them for about $130 each. Because this camera doesn't need regular batteries, I bought extras for each camera. If the camera's battery dies, it would be nice to have a second one charged and ready to go. While they charge fairly quickly, a second one would come in handy and they're not that expensive. I got the charger and 2 batteries for about $20. A little slow photographed and shown. Too bad he took normal AA batteries. I wish it came with a memory card. Overall a good camera for a beginner (aka teenage) photographer. If you are looking for more. spend more money and get a top camera.
