The pictures should explain the problems. I have no problem with cast aluminum, no problem with copper plating, no gold (honestly, I don't expect it to be gold plated, even the thinnest), but the manufacturer didn't even bother to seal the skids after drilling clean the hole. All poles have this problem, not just one or two bad ones. hole (they're cast aluminum, which isn't surprising). The banana plug won't go all the way in if the extra stuff is blocked there. (I could better underdrill then deburr etc.) Straight back.
