This is a beautiful scarf, not a scarf. I deducted a point because it's a lot smaller than it appears in the photo. It would be like a child size frame or a tiny adult size frame. On a larger person, this item really looks like a handkerchief. I'm a size 16 and wanted to wear it with a size 16 dress. When it arrived I was shocked at the tiny size. If I pull hard on the scarf to get the view in the photo, the back folds down to the level of the collar. This would be good headgear for church attendance in countries where headgear is required as it compresses into a very small ball. The design is exactly the same as the photo but I can't get it off my shoulders. I think it will look cute on a little girl or petite woman. My plan is to make a big scarf and put this scarf on top. The name says "scarf" and that's exactly what it is. I'm deducting a point because the shawl was presented as a shawl, which is misleading. Very few American women can wear this scarf as a shawl. I should have paid more attention to the title. I think this scarf can be worn in many ways but not as a scarf like in the photo. Don't get me wrong - I can make this scarf work like a scarf - but it won't look like the picture on a size 16 American. Be clear - this shawl can be draped in a variety of ways as shown in the customer review photos. It's too spikey to wear around your neck because the beaded floral and glittery embellishments make your skin itch. You can drape the scarf in a triangle front. You can wear it around your neck. You can drape it over your shoulders if you stretch it out, but it won't be the same as the photo. Let's see - have I said enough? Most of the negative reviews are because we were unprepared. The name says scarf, and the photo shows a scarf. The scarf must be presented with a photo of the child inside. I sew and understand textiles. The quality of the goods was very good. The haircut was good. I attach it to a larger piece of elastic mesh and create the size I want. I will treat this scarf as order. I will make this shawl do what I need, a light summer shawl for an elegant dress, and wear it when I visit churches where women require head covering. This scarf is just a scarf. The smaller the frame of the body, the more this scarf can act as a scarf, but it is not a scarf. If my experiment works - I will buy this scarf again in other colors. Now I buy a black, transparent viscose stretch fabric. Oh, and the scarf draped chair works. It would also make an interesting running table.
