We developed our own hovering method and it worked great!

We used two colors - a light blue over silver and it filled and covered our brown wall nicely. gave good support the entire length and had no tears. 1) We carefully laid the back layer on the floor with the tape strip facing up and used a small piece of tape to join the two lengths at the top to make a single 6 foot wide. 2) We then placed a thin piece of wood strip near the top, just below the long ribbon that attaches to the fringe. 3) We put the second (front) layer on top of the bottom layer (and shape) to finish it off. 4) We folded back the top of the top layer, peeled the masking tape backing strip off both layers and we both carefully took the top of the top layer and tightened and aligned it with the bottom layer and installed. it's on an open tape. Thus, the two layers are glued together. The wooden molding is inserted between two layers of fringes under the adhesive tape. We could lift it up from a tree and then attach it to the wall with tiny nails. The fringes are not attached to the tree at all, only supported by it. When we're ready to take it off (who doesn't love a shiny wall?!), we'll gently roll up the fringes and put the wooden strip back in place. in the garage. At least that's the plan. If we try to hang it again, it's likely to become a mess.
