I bought these cases to hold part of my Blu-ray collection. The Blu-ray and illustrations come in plastic sleeves that are approximately 5.7 inches wide. These baskets are advertised as 6 inches wide, which would theoretically fit in my envelopes. However, as you can see in the attached photos, these bins are only 6 inches wide in one place: at the very edge of the bin. By measuring the CENTER of the container from the top edges, the width is closer to 5.75 inches, and more importantly, by measuring the bottom of the container at the midpoint, the width is approximately 5.625 inches. So they don't serve the purpose I bought them for. If you consider these containers for storing various things of indefinite dimensions, these containers seem to be durable.
