I needed this cable as starting material for a series of custom length cables. Ironically, it's cheaper than buying a 100ft reel of cable with no connectors! it also saves me from crimping 2 RJ11 connectors. This is a typical 4 wire cable (some only have 2 of the 4 allowed) and it can support 2 wires on the same connection. This is exactly what I need when I reset my phone lines; Replacing some approaching or over 75 (since the early 1940s!). To test the cable, I plugged it between my existing outlet and my phone and both lines got a dial tone and it worked fine. After I started cutting and crimping new RJ45 jacks on wires as needed to replace the old phone wiring in my house. I did not measure the length of this cable. I don't know if it's really 100 feet or not. It's long enough for what I need when making new cables. If you need a long phone extension, I think this should work just fine. If you need 100 feet of 4-wire phone cord, it can be less expensive than just getting a spool. It works great with my RJ45 crimp connectors and my crimping tool. NOTE: Make sure you have plugs for *stranded* cables. Because it has worked so well for my individual needs and works as intended and it's a steal for me I'm giving this cable a happy 5 stars.
