Had to order two pairs of these shoes because the first pair that was sent looked like it had a stain all over the ball of foot and glue and to be honest the second pair wasn't much better (had paid $20 for these, although not the most expensive pair of sandals I was expecting better quality). To be honest, it looks like hot glue was used to assemble this shoe. I tried to take decent photos for the demo but believe me it was gross - glue all over the place. To be honest I wish I had never ordered them but since my son loves the color and the fact that he can get them himself I decided to order a second pair to replace them and bang on Best hoped. The second pair came and the glue was still strong all over but not as bad as the first pair and at least there are no weird marks on the insole this time. Just a warning - they smell pretty strong out of the box. So if you don't like rubber soles that give off toxic fumes, give them time to air out or don't buy them. It's like a shoe store times 1000. Do I honestly expect them to last until he outgrows them in 6 months? Not really. Why am I keeping them and why 2 stars? Because they are attractive to a child, wear them with enthusiasm, and the intended owner is 3.5 years old and can put them on himself (which cannot be said of his keen, who have a similar design). I love that he can walk in them and they don't seem to knock him out which was a common problem with his Crocs which he preferred for the ease of putting them on alone which we can't say about his other shoes. Time will tell.
