My son doesn't complain. However, a week after moving into his dorm room, he wrote to me that he could smell the building's "old" smell. The building was built in the 1930s and has not been renovated since. I read the reviews for this product and thought it should try to avoid all the chemicals found in other products. I was concerned that his attempt to improve the smell in his room might turn into an uphill battle when there was an "old" smell throughout the building. He reported that the spray/gel combination worked as intended and his nose was happy. hp I told him to spray the walls, the back of his furniture, and the floors. He put the gel under his bed.
