I was obsessed with finding quality food for our new rescue dog who wasn't eating much when we got him. She mostly refused bits and we tried a few varieties. After reading many dog food reviews and reviews I was torn between Taste of the Wild and this brand Victor. I had friends who recommended ToTW, but I was so wary that it was a Blue Diamond product that I bought Victor instead. The first thing that struck me was that the pellets were larger than I expected, especially for a puppy food. They're more than double the Whole Hearted Grain Free she brought home. However, if we wet it first, she'll happily swallow it (and it fits in her kong with no problem). glory to heaven. she liked it! She will eat the pieces on her own, but we usually cut the pieces down and measure out some ground beef, sweet potatoes, or eggs. At the orphanage she was a skinny baby, but after a few weeks she recovered well. Her coat is shiny and healthy and her stools are well formed with no diarrhea. (Well, ONCE, because my husband knew nothing about the launch of dog food and gave her a full meal the day after delivery.) I'm so glad we chose this brand.
