Considering this truck has 5 (FIVE) aa battery cells in the rechargeable pack, it sure dies quickly. I got an excavator (different brand/company) that only has two aa battery packs (which also came with two packs for continuous play) and one of those packs last WAAAAAAYYYYYYY longer on that excavator than it does on this dump truck. I am very disappointed and wish I had gotten him another dump truck that was more durable. Or at least a dump truck that had a regular battery compartment so I could just put in my own rechargeable batteries, bc that would have been easier that having to charge this thing every single time my son wants to use it. I suppose I could try to find a new battery pack that fits the cords required to hook this thing up, but who wants to do that? No one. Keep shopping if you're looking for a remote control dump truck. On the other hand, the features are nice. It has lights. It makes sounds (I think. My brain is fried.) The left side wheels are controlled independently from the right wheels, which is fun. Both remote control and truck have on and off switch. (just fyi).
