Simply put, replacement tips do the job and work well enough for my purposes. I haven't had any issues with not being able to use the SPen after changing the tip. I'm a student, so I usually use the stylus to take notes, annotate, and do other similar tasks on a regular basis. With that in mind, the pen tip is definitely showing signs of wear after around 2 months of use, but I'm sure it will last a bit longer (see photo). Overall I don't think it was a bad product as it did what I expected. The only aspect I had some trouble with was using the original tool to remove the pen nib. I'm not sure if this is common, but if it happens I would recommend that you put some super glue on the tip of the pen (don't let it get on the body of the pen by pointing the tip down) . and let it dry a bit. I did this to add some texture so the pinscher would have something to hold onto and work for my purposes.
