Magic Keyboard Killer

*Full review written on Logitech Folio Touch *In early 2020, when Apple announced the 2020 iPad Pro models with the surprise announcement of the Magic Keyboard accessory, the tech community went nuts. The Magic Keyboard was backlit, magnetically (and magically) coupled to the iPad Pro, and had a floating "console" design. I myself was thrilled and wanted to buy it until I saw the price. The starting price of $300 and $349 for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is a bit much, even for me as an Apple fan. Upon further research, I found that the Magic Keyboard has limited viewing angles and must be removed from the case if you want to draw with your Apple Pencil. With that in mind, I searched the internet for a cheaper and more versatile alternative, which led me to the Logitech Folio Touch. The advantages of this keyboard over the Magic Keyboard: - The case can be left without removing it permanently - A set of function keys that are not present in the Magic Keyboard. Edgeless protection that the Magic Keyboard doesn't have. Same trackpad drivers and gestures as Magic Keyboard. the same Smart Connector that Apple uses, so there's no need to charge or sync the keyboard (Logitech worked closely with Apple on this product). Cons: Aesthetically not as elegant as the Magic Keyboard; The recessed body makes it difficult to use some USB-C accessories - only for the 11-inch iPad Pro or iPad Air 2020. Overall, at around half the price of a Magic Keyboard, this keyboard is excellent as it offers excellent security, a range of function keys, trackpad gestures with the same resolution, backlit keys, loop for attaching an Apple Pencil or Logitech Crayon, mode for using a tablet or drawing without removing the case + protection and firmware updates via the Logitech Keyboard Control app. Little touches like disabling the keyboard when flipped back and holding the strap in place with a magnet make this a steal over the Magic Keyboard, especially at this price point.
