My son loves these water shoes. once we actually get them in his legs, that is! My 8 year old son has trouble putting them on - you really have to wiggle a bit and hold the tab on the back of the heel. I usually help him put at least one shoe on. We also ordered a size up - they were easier to put on - but he had plenty of room at the tip of his toes so I don't know. walked the chunky rocky beach and river and he loves them. Seems to be great quality too. Plan to pass them on to your siblings when they outgrow them.
