The product lights up, but that's all I can say. While the bulb on the outside of the car is a lot brighter than the regular bulb inside the case, it's not as impressive. Incandescent bulbs emit light in almost every direction, LEDs have very limited spread, and unless your packages manage to position the LED at the perfect angle, it won't emit much light through the lens. THE BIGGEST NEGATIVE, however, is the horrible way they are designed. They allow static electricity to return to the radios. So much so that trying to listen to the radio with the lights on almost became a joke. I was trying to spend even more money on a product designed to eliminate static electricity. That does not work. I sent them back and the bulbs too. The whole project turned into a joke. The actual rear view is practically not enlarged. An increase in the power required for operation, since additional resistance had to be applied. Static causing radio interference when switched on. And finally, they are much more expensive than the super bright halogen bulbs I use. I have a radio antenna in the rear fender, so static might not be as much of an issue for those who have an antenna elsewhere. Wrapping the flashlight's body in aluminum foil also helped.
