They're better than HP IMO because they print well, last longer, and are a lot cheaper. The added bonus of being rejected by HP, one of the sneakiest anti-consumer companies, is just a huge bonus. HP has made it so easy that scanning requires an account, which shows everything you do. This type of modification is illegal in some countries, but not in the US. My printer needs constant updating and thankfully I declined.
