Review on PediFix Visco Gel Stay Put Spacers Medium by Roberta Johnson

Wear it anytime, anywhere!

Finally a spacer that is comfortable to wear with shoes, barefoot and while you sleep! Let me start with a little background: I had bursitis surgery a year ago and my big toe is not as straight as it should be. I also have neuroma in this foot so anything cramping in the toes will quickly become painful. I ordered this product hoping to "reshape" my toe. When ordering, I wasn't sure what size to order. I'm a fairly petite woman (5ft 2in, wear a size 4) and wear a size 7 shoe, but I was planning on wearing it with a bow on my big toe as shown in the picture. the material is quite stretchy (other reviewers said they felt the material was flimsy and would tear, I found it more durable); However, I have found that I align myself better when wearing the device on my second finger with padding between my first and second fingers. The material feels very strong to me but soft enough to be comfortable and I haven't had any chafing issues. The first day I wore them 24 hours, only took them off to swim, I slept in them with a thin sock on my foot - otherwise I don't think they would have lasted the whole night. I've walked barefoot around the house many times and it stays up with no problem and I've worn it with a variety of closed toe shoes. without chafing or discomfort On most of my shoes, it doesn't noticeably increase the tightness of the shoe; In some cases the shoe feels tighter, it doesn't cause discomfort and doesn't cause the neuroma to expand (full opening: I usually wear shoes with a fairly wide toe box because of the neuroma). This unobtrusive little item works well, stays in place and seems to help my finger alignment even after not wearing it for a while. I am very satisfied with this product and would buy it again at any time.
