Great! I've recorded Neumann and the tlm 103 and the long awaited U87 in the past and no it's not the right sound but it has its own quality and it sounds very, very good. I checked out the AKG 515 and it was way too aggressive at high frequencies. Spirit sounds smooth, balanced and has an expensive sound without a budget. I've used an Aston Origin but what it lacks in the bottom end the Spirit makes up for and even has a smoother top end. I don't know if I'll ever be able to afford a Neumann, but for a mic under $500, this thing packs a lot punch for its weight. I am very happy with my choice.
