I've bought four or five Bedsure comforters (in different colours) over the years and have loved them all. Yes, blankets are thin and light, but that's the main reason I'm a fan of them. Although they are thin and light, they are also very warm. This is the only blanket I need during our harsh winters (the oven is set at 69 degrees). It's also the ideal weight for summer (I keep my bedroom cool with an air conditioner, also set at 69 degrees). All of my Bedsure duvets have been washed well. Remember to put three color catchers in the tub to keep the white part white. As you can see from the photo, I use comforters as bedspreads, not just comforters.
