After looking for a really good facial brush for two days, I came across this one in the Top 5 facial cleansing brushes article. I'm not going to lie that the Clarisonic Mia 2 should have been my first choice, but after reading the reviews and debating whether I wanted to spend $200 for it, I decided on this one and I'm so glad I did have done! About my skin: I have very dry skin (especially around my nose), uneven skin tone (due to freckles and age spots), occasional pimples (usually 1 or 2 medium sized pimples that eventually dry up and form a red dot) and internally in general just dull skin. The main thing I wanted from this product was to get rid of dry skin around my nose and of course try to remove excess dirt, makeup, impurities and oils left behind after washing my face. PROS: While it didn't completely solve my problem with dry skin around my nose, it helped keep it under control. BUT the most important thing for me was that it brightened my complexion. I feel like it evens out my skin tone a bit and gives me an overall radiant glow. It has also kept my acne at bay (by getting rid of excess oil and makeup build-up after washing my face I think). I just can't understand how better my skin feels and looks in general! I also like the cleaning samples that come with the kit. Some CONS: As some others have said, I don't like the performance of the battery. I usually use it in the shower and about 4 days ago it fell out of my shower stall and broke, getting the batteries and connectors wet. I dried it as best I could and let it air dry and to my surprise it still worked! I'm also not a big fan of microdermabrasion sponges. While I think it works and helps, I have a feeling they could do better. How I used it: I used a regular facial cleansing brush every night except 2 when I used microdermabrasion. I alternate between washing my face in the sink and in the shower every other day. I wash my face first with just Clinique or Nutregena Cleanser and then apply a dab of Refresh Facial Cleanser. Or on the days I do microdermabrasion, I use a thermal sampler. I noticed the facial cleansing brush was starting to get a little dirty so I added some bleach and water and left it overnight and it turned white again. Hope that helps! It really helped my skin, I hope it works for you!
