I charged it when it arrived and used it on almost the lowest setting for 10 hours most nights (some 9, some up to 12). It looks like I'd have to crank the disc up a bit to get the same performance, but I didn't charge it again until one night when the disc suddenly cranked almost all the way up. It still worked. I checked the date received and it was a month early! I charged it for about 4 or 5 hours until the blue light went out and it came back on - all I have to do is turn the knob a little. I didn't like the greenish color though, so I added a piece of translucent red plastic between the book light head and base. My "upgrade" is invisible from the front, but produces a lovely peachy red glow instead of a sickly greenish one. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could because of the greenish tint, but I love everything else about it so much and it's such a chic design that I have to round it up.
