The chalk is too hard to leave a nice thin chalk line on cotton.

I really liked the idea of the super-thin colored pencil. I wanted very fine lines on my cotton fabrics. The problem is that they added some kind of hardner to the chalk that makes it so hard that it doesn't draw lines on any cotton fabric that I've tried. I even ran a piece across the sandboard to break the seal of that hard plaster and it still didn't draw a chalk line. I was very disappointed. I thought I found the perfect thin chalk for marking my quilts.
