Works as expected for the price.
I've used it with cheap ties of various sizes and it worked as expected. While the more pistol-like single-trigger pistols are a bit easier to use, it wasn't difficult to maintain tension with the main clamping mechanism, pulling the second lever to secure the tie. Better than just hand tightening and using a knife or scissors to trim off the excess tie.
