Our 7 month old daughter only has a few first teeth but she scraped most of the paint off the roller we gave her and is crashed into wood. This was after just a few minutes of use. Painted animals are simply not applied with quality paint. This is a very thin surface paint, probably stamped. Otherwise the durability of both the casters and stand seems good and I don't expect the casters to fall apart easily or anything like that. Also, the reels move around the stand VERY quickly - for example, top to bottom in about 1 second. I thought it would be slower and more interesting, but they disappear almost immediately.
