I bought these (8 inches) hoping to package them as Bluetooth speakers for outdoor use, but I couldn't get them to sound good - no matter where I put them. They are ALL tinny highs - NO basses - very little mids. On a positive note the bluetooth connectivity works great and they had decent volume - not 200w but ok. You can connect any set of speakers with these bluetooth cables which makes it easy to compare to other speakers I have. All of my other speakers (they're over twenty years old and pretty basic) sound better. With these Pyles, there are parts of the music that aren't even produced; it's just missing. I keep them because Bluetooth works well (at least 30 feet) with my Android in my pocket. I just connect the cables to the speakers on the bookshelf and take them outside. I'm hoping someone I know needs a cheap set of in-wall speakers. It seems that they will be very easy to assemble.
