This is the genuine item; You lived to be a delusion to me. how many times can you say it Everything others have said - isolation, clarity, soundstage, frequency response - is fantastic, especially for this price point. In my opinion they have all the good qualities that high end headphones have and at the same time they are fun to listen to. I listen to them better than my Shure SE 535 (which I find a little tiring) and more than my SoundMagic E10. They also have plenty of bass without being too bassy, muddy, puffy, etc. I love bass as much as any guy and they have enough for me. As for durability, I've had them for about a month. So far, so good. Honestly, apart from the SE535 mentioned above, they all break sooner or later. For example, the E10s appeared to be more durable than the Carbo Tenore phones. But even E10 was shorted after about a year.
