Review on ๐Ÿ–ค RETON 10 Yards Solid Black Nylon Heavy Polypro Webbing Strap - 1.5 Inches by Nicole Mcleod

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with this strap to give it 4 stars

I am satisfied enough with this strap to give it 4 stars. I bought it for projects like duffel bags, belts etc and expect it to work well. I don't think this fully matches the description: * Made of heavy duty nylon material * 10 yards / 9.144 meters long * 1.5 in wide x .035 in thick * 4500 lb tensile strength Or maybe my definition of heavy duty tape is different from the industry standard. I'm a full 10 yards plus about a foot more. It is described as 1.5 inches wide but not 0.035 inches thick. Measured at eight points of no tension with digital calipers, the thickness was always between 0.030 and 0.031 inches. I work regularly with many of the nylon cords used in skydiving gear and this is the closest match to the 12 or 4 inch line and is rated for a 1200 pound breaking load. The second is 3 inches wide and .025 to .040 inches thick but weighs 1,800 pounds. I will never test tensile strength, but I expect it to be between 800 and 1000 pounds, not 4500 pounds. This only applies to non-skydiving projects, so I don't mind the inconsistency. HTN. I will never test tensile strength, but I expect it to be between 800 and 1000 pounds, not 4500 pounds.
