This cheese board was a hit! The packaging seemed small, but the pull-out trays really helped free up more space. The wood texture of several pieces came together nicely and were sanded down to a fairly smooth finish; there are definitely no splinters, but if you rub over it with a paper towel, the fibers stay in the grain. The magnetic drawers were a nice touch to keep the bottom trays from falling out on their own when taken out of the box or moved. The only downside I would say is that the long, tapered blade feels too flexible, which makes me nervous. about slicing hard cheese.
