What a difference in the ring!

What a ring matters! The body of my Nikon D750 camera features rivets and triangular split rings for shoulder straps. The right shoulder strap hooks and covers the viewfinder when I switch from horizontal to vertical. Therefore, it takes a few seconds to pull the strap away from the viewfinder to start recording, resulting in lost frames. So I searched long and hard for an alternative solution. I was considering investing in a different connection system for my Op/Tech shoulder strap. I've been thinking about switching from the classic thin 3/8" nylon webbing to a tubular nylon loop connector, or switching to another brand like Peak Design or Custom SLR that also use tubular loops. However, Op/Tech Uni-Loop jacks use 3/4 jacks. "wide webbing, while other brands plug right into their 1-2" wide camera straps, all of which get in the way of the camera (IMO). vertical frames. The leather protection is a good addition to avoid scratches on expensive camera bodies. I wish there was a plastic mount on the split ring instead of the bulky leather patch. A better design would be a D slot ring. With a D-slot split ring, the 3/8" webbing rests on the flat portion of the ring while the round portion slides smoothly over the camera stud. This O-ring and tread set is by no means cheap. But it is an alternative connector or camera straps are more than that.
