I have struggled with lighting and white balance in still photography for years and have learned a lot over the years. Photography in general is much more dependent on good light and technique than on expensive cameras and lenses, although the latter two also play a role. I like to put a pure white background on all the products I photograph and if I want I can add or change the background in post. But unless you have a better, or at least good enough, light source for your studio, you're going to struggle a lot with color accuracy and vibrancy in post, even if you only shot in RAW. Cheap LED bulbs can be very bright, but they can also be very dirty, and you won't see this until you start processing your files. an unpleasant greenish, bluish or, rarely, yellowish cast (or tint) in images where the color should be a very pure white, almost 250 per channel with very little difference between them. And these lightbulbs give me just that.
