Our little one wants to wear it every time we go to the beach or out in the hot sun and tries not to take it (which is an amazing affirmation for any child). Absolutely perfect hat. Our 2.5 year old is tiny; By tightening the top adjuster as much as possible and using the chin strap, he keeps it on his head even in windy conditions. The material is amazing - it protects from the sun and doesn't get heavy or saggy when wet. It is of course very big for our child but has room to grow and can be used for years as it is a good material that does not tear. i love how it goes down his neck
